A1. I believe it's easy to think that the crooked world and economics of "Jennifer Government" would embrace John's synical outlook on business but sooner or later the social and political losses will out weigh the business benefits.
Q2. Will Buy's association with John be helpful or hurtful to Jennifer?
A2. Buy's asssociation with John could be both helpful and hurtful to Jennifer. Buy has contact with John so he is able to obtain some current information about John and his business affairs, which could benefit Jennifer. But this also works in reverse because Buy works for John so he has to do what he says and go where he tells him to. Also because Buy is watching Kate John has a way to get to her as well. While this is all happening Jennifer is also exposing herself to the NRA while trying to arrest John.
Q3. Will Kate ever meet her father, John Nike?
A3. I believe throughout the ordeal Kate will be exposed to who John Nike is but since he seems to be evil and a poor father figure Jen will protect Kate from learning who her father is.
Buy's Hero Journey:
Buy's journey starts when he loses his job as a stock broker and now a Liason. After getting his new job Buy goes to the ChadStone Walmart the night of the NikeTown shooting. He crosses the threshold when he meets and gets interviewed by Jennifer Government. Buy experiences his death and rebirth the night he tried to commit suicide but has to call Jennifer because he doesn't know how to work his pistol correctly. His transformation begins when he is left with Kate while Jen goes after John Nike. While he's with Kate Buy learns there's more to life than consumerism and how to build relationships with people. Buy's atonement comes when he rescues Kate at the NikeTown the same night Hack and Claire are there. Buy makes his return to the known world once Jen comes back from Los Angeles and they can continue a normal life together.
